2C20.34 - Coanda Effect - Thread in an Air Stream

Code Number:
Demo Title:
Coanda Effect - Thread in an Air Stream
Bernoulli, Friction of a Moving Air Stream
Area of Study:
Heat & Fluids
Train and Tread Toy.

Blow air through the train toy. This creates an air stream through the smoke stack where the thread is. The friction of the moving stream of air will entrain the string, moving it with the air stream. Note: The toy also has a whistle on it that needs to be plugged if the noise is undesirable.
