5E40.75 - Internal Resistance of a Battery

Code Number:
5E40.75
Demo Title:
Internal Resistance of a Battery
Condition:
Excellent
Principle:
Internal resistance of a battery, peak power of battery
Area of Study:
Electricity & Magnetism
Equipment:
BK meter, One old and one new six volt battery.
Procedure:

As batteries age, their internal resistance goes up and power output goes down accordingly.  On occasion a battery can be found that shows 6 volts but has no current output due to a very large internal resistance.
