8A20.25 - Eclipse - Eclipse Model

Code Number:
8A20.25
Demo Title:
Eclipse - Eclipse Model
Condition:
Excellent
Principle:
Lunar and Solar Eclipse
Area of Study:
Solar
Equipment:
Hoop Eclipse Demo.
Procedure:

The model is Earth centered.  So, Earth is in the center, then the lunar orbit around that, with the orbit of the sun as the outer ring.  The lunar orbit may be tilted so that you can see that there are only specific times or alignments of the objects that will result in an eclipse of some kind.
