Bowling ball, string, handle, scissors

Code Number: 1F20.10

Demo Title: Inertia of Rest - Bowling Ball

Condition: Good

Principle: Inertia of Mass

Area of Study: Mechanics

Equipment:

Bowling ball, string, handle.

Procedure:

Make a string with loops on both ends.  Loop one end over the hook in the bowling ball, and insert the handle into the other end.  Pull up slowly and you will be able to lift the bowling ball.  Jerk quickly and the string will break.  This is a simpler version of 1F20.10.
