Demo Title: Weight of a Meter Stick / Torque Method
Condition: Good
Principle: Center of Mass
Area of Study: Mechanics
Equipment:
Meter Stick with hole near the end, Fulcrum, Hanging Masses.
Procedure:
We have already determined that the mass of our meter stick is 160 g. Hang a 160 g mass on one end of the meter stick. Balancing this unit on the fulcrum should find an equilibrium point at 25 cm from the end that the mass is hanging on.
