Code Number: 1J30.60
Demo Title: Sailing Against the Wind - Air Track
Condition: Excellent
Principle: Resolution of Forces
Area of Study: Mechanics
Air Track, Large Fan, Air Cars - one with flag at 45 degree angle.
Procedure:
See: 1C10.10 and 1H10.20 entries also.
Angle the flag on one of the air cars to a 45 degree angle as shown. When the fan is blowing toward the car, but at an angle, the car can be seen to move into the wind, or toward the blowing fan.
