2C20.80 - Magnus Effect - Flettner Rotator
|
Code Number: 2C20.80
Demo Title: Magnus Effect - Flettner Rotator
Condition: Good
Principle: Magnus Effect
Area of Study: Fluids
Equipment:
Compressed air hose with blowgun adapter, Pasco fan cart, Flettner Rotator with air fin adapter on Pasco cart, Pasco track.
Procedure:
Spin the cylinder up to +2500 rpm using the compressed air hose with blowgun adapter. Blowing air across the cylinder at 90 degrees with the Pasco fan cart will cause the cart with the Flettner Rotator to move left or right.
