Demo Title: Twisted Pair

Condition: Excellent

Area of Study: Oscillations & Acoustics

Equipment:

Two long wires, light bulb, switch, electromagnetic pickup, Amplifier, speaker, drill.

Procedure:

Take the two long wire and twist 1/2 the lenth and leave the other 1/2 length untwisted. Connect one end to the light bulb and the other end to a switch. Turn on the light bulb and use the electromagnetic pickup to monitor the hum at the untwisted and then the twisted end of the wires.

You can make you own twisted pair wires by chucking one end of the wires into a drill and slowly twist them while someone holds onto the other ends of the wire.
