Demo Title: Metal Detector

Condition: Good

Principle: Mutual Induction - Metal Detection with a Coil

Area of Study: Electricity & Magnetism

Equipment:

Metal Detector Kit, Metal pieces, Sand ( for hiding the metal, Optional).

Procedure:

Distribute the metal pieces across the table. As you bring the detector close to any of the pieces the LED should quit blinking and the piezo buzzer should emit a continuous whine. An optional addition is to bury the metal pieces into a layer of sand so that they are not visible but can still be detected by the detector.
