Demo Title: Hole in a Block
Equipment:
Hot Plate, Brass, Iron, and Aluminum Block, PASCO Thermal Cavity, Power Supply, IR Camera.
Procedure:
Place the three blocks onto the hot plate and turn up to 400 on the temperature dial. When equilibrium temperature is reached, view the blocks with the IR camera and note the radiation of the holes of each metal.
The PASCO themal cavity has an electric heater. When brought to temperature, you can view the cavity with the IR camera.
