Code Number: 6D30.40
Demo Title: Thin Film Interference - Pohl's Mica Sheet
Condition: Good
Principle: Thin Film Interference
Area of Study: Optics
Equipment:
Mica sheet in plastic holder, high intensity Mercury arc lamp point source, white paper screen.
Procedure:
Place the interference sheet in front of the Mercury arc lamp at an angle of 45 degrees. This will reflect an interference pattern onto the white sheet that has circular fringes.
