Dark Energy Analogy Demo

Code Number: 8C20.90

Demo Title: Dark Energy

Condition: Excellent

Principle: Dark Energy

Area of Study: Astronomy

Equipment:

Sliding capacitor, Electrometer, 67 1/2 volt battery.

Procedure:

The demonstration shows that when the charged capacitor plates are moved apart the voltage rises.  This is an analog of the theory the dark energy is increasing as the universe expands.
